Verbatim reviews from theatre patrons

Great show - from the opening scene (the setting of the stage) to the end. The cast was excellent and the dialogue was fast and crisp.  Every hand gesture and facial expression complimented the dialogue and added to the humor and tension. -SB

The play builds from a simple premise into a multi-layered and multi-generational story about the consequences of going off-course. Ordinary characters and concerns, relatable to the audience, are forced by circumstance and guided by choices to confront hard questions about what makes life worthwhile.  Chains (and their weight) are a key reality and metaphor in the play, binding characters together, allowing them to help each other, but also immobilizing some into constantly recycling their past. Using those same ties to pull themselves out of their own ditches triggers the catharsis of this deftly written, effectively staged, and engagingly performed show.  -PF

This one really pulls you in, and keeps you guessing till the end. Quick-witted dialog, artfully done flashbacks through various time periods, and characters that all seem to have a LOT of hidden baggage just below the surface. A who-done-it that gets you caring about each character due to some solid acting and great writing. -JS

The idea of giving life to one of Edward Hopper's paintings is pretty ingenious, and this play written and directed by Charrier is a great interpretation.

The story itself is beautifully written and gives life to every character. Also, the cast is stellar. All five actors are wonderfully cast and deliver excellent performances.  Hopper would have been proud.  -JN
